Spelling Bee

Cassidy was in the spelling bee at school this past Monday. There were 32 kids participating in grades 3-6. She was really excited, yet nervous, but did great. She tied for 4th place with two other kids. She was the last third grader to be left in the competition!! We were so proud of her for doing her best! My camera was being wierd so I missed out on some great pictures, but here are a couple that I got!

Here she is spelling away. Cassidy was also in the spelling bee with her cute friend Tatumn (behind her). Tatumn did awesome too!

Here is a group shot of those that participated. Although a lot of them left before it was over so it isn't everybody.

Here is Cassidy getting her award and ribbon. Way to go Cass!!

I'm a Blogaholic!!

I admit it--I am definately a blogaholic. I really love to read other people's blogs. My list of blogs seems to grow every day. Ever since my sister-in-law started her blog last year, I have been hooked. I even thought about starting one of my own, but figured I didn't have much to blog about and that it probably wouldn't be interesting to a lot of people. My sister-in-law convinced me that when you start a blog you start seeing all the things during the day that you could use as a post. Over the past few months I have seen what seems to be everyone I know start their own blog. I kept telling myself I would start one, but as you can see it took awhile. I am actually really excited to do this and have two reasons for starting my blog:
1. I thought this would be a great way to keep in touch with friends and family--especially those out of state. It's really hard to find the time to keep caught up with all our friends and family, near and far. This way they can see what we are up to!
2. This is my most important reason for blogging. I am horrible at keeping a journal, I DO NOT scrapbook, and I never write important or funny things down. My kids are growing up way to fast and I feel as though I have forgotten alot of important things that happened.
So in my pursuit of documenting my family, I hope you don't get sick of hearing about all the crazy, obnoxious, annoying, funny, sweet, and spiritual things going on in our house. That's life!!

By the way, if you can't hear the music playing just look at the bar above my blog and click to install the player. Nothin' better than a little Josh Groban to start off my day! I'll actually try to change the music around so you don't get sick of the same song over and over again!
