We had a great, but very busy week of Halloween activities! We kicked off our Halloween celebrations with the first annual Atwood Family Halloween Party. My MIL hosted the party and it was so much fun. She really went all out. The house was decked out in halloween decor, and all of the food had some sort of halloween theme to it, and there were tons of games and activities for everyone to participate in. And of course prizes for everyone(just what we needed was more candy!!)
All the grandkids dressed up in their cute costumes
Decorating halloween sugar cookies
Enjoying the finished product
Decorating pumpkins
Donut eating contest
We were kept busy at the school on halloween between the parade and helping with class parties. The boys were in the costume parade at school. The parade is only for K-3 so Cassidy wasn't able to participate this year.
My handsome Clone Tropper and Darth Vader
Halloween is also my MIL's birthday. She comes down every year to see the kids in their costumes and to take them trick-or-treating--as long as it isn't too cold!! We always celebrate her birthday too!! We always have pizza together for dinner and I make some of her favorite snacks and some type of birthday dessert for her. It has become a fun tradition to have her join us. My sister and her boyfriend Jon came over to surprise the kids on halloween too. They were dressed up as Cleopatra and King Tut. I thought they looked great!! The kids got a big kick out of their costumes as well.
We had a great halloween this year!

It looks like you guys had a great Halloween! It was fun to see you guys for a little bit at the Primary party. I love that story about Ethan and your mom, that is so so so sweet.
What a fun little party for your kids. I love Ethan in the top picture with his hands up in the air!
